How it works.

Fuelbetter works by measuring the difference between your nutrient intake vs your nutrient requirements.

First, Fuelbetter calculates your unique nutrient requirements based on:

  • your individual physiology (including height, weight, lean body mass and, if you are female, your menstrual blood volume and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding)

  • your individual lifestyle (including your dietary preferences, your level of non-exercise activity and, if you a serious athlete, your athletic focus and your weekly hard training volume)

  • your recorded exercise activities, with the nutrient impact of each exercise calculated individually based on its type, duration, and intensity.

Next, Fuelbetter calculates your nutrient intake based on the food & drink you log in the diary. This part depends on you!  The more accurately you record what you eat & drink, the more accurate Fuelbetter's assessment of your nutrient status.

Finally, Fuelbetter calculates the difference between your nutrient requirements and your nutrient intake.  You'll see the 1-day picture on the top of your food diary and on the Trends screen. And you'll see the 7-day and 30-day picture on the Trends screen.
